Today Univera is the central piece of a large global organization, but in the beginning it was just a man and a vision. The man was YunHo Lee, a successful Korean businessman. The vision was to extract the best of nature and then bring the benefits to the world. Univera was founded as a result of a simple gift. And that model is still what we emulate today.

Mr. Lee had long suffered from poor health and found no relief in conventional medicine. When a dear friend gave him the gift of juice from an Aloe vera plant, Lee was skeptical. But he tried taking the juice and the result was, in his words, "a miraculous recovery."

Amazed, Mr. Lee used his financial success to invest in exploring the ethnobotanical properties of the plant kingdom. His goal was to discover more about the connection between the medicinal power of nature's bounty and the body's incredible power of renewal and to bring that power to the world. He had no idea just how successful he'd be.

A Global Network
To bring the power of nature to humankind and allow Univera to reach its potential, YunHo Lee and his son Bill would need more than vision. They'd need an organization with a global reach - ECONET. And so they started an ECOlogical and ECOnomic global NETwork of companies dedicated to bringing the best of nature to humankind.

Univera is supported by a global family of companies called ECONET that spans the globe, from the United States to Mexico, China, and Russia.

ECONET was started in 1976 with the goal of integrating best-in-class research and development, formulation, manufacturing and distribution of the important discoveries the scientific teams were making. This integration maximizes efficiency and lets Univera develop its new discoveries and bring them to the world as rapidly as possible.

Unigen was founded in 1996 and employs more than 50 full-time scientists dedicated to researching renewal at the cellular level.
